I had an excellent 1st Mothers Day. I was surprised Sunday morning with a cute little purple flower, a sweet card, and my favorite Starbucks coffee. Cade picked out the flower all by himself. Tyler said he put Cade in front of all the plants and said "which one should we get mommy" and he immediately reached out and grabbed the one he liked. :) After church we met up with Tyler's family over towards Mt. Hood and did some Morel mushroom picking, or attempted to pick them. We only found 3! Apparently it was still a little early in the season for them. But we had a great time out in the forest despite our luck.
