This last week Tyler was out of town Sun-Wed. It is kind of a double edge sword when he is gone. I have to admit I do like having evenings (when Cade is in bed) to myself every once in a while. I watch the girly movies, do crafts and read. However I don't like the time from about 6pm-7:45pm. This is when Tyler usually gets home from work and spends time with Cade. Cade is now to the age where he looks forward to and anticipated Tyler walking through the door. He loves going upstairs with Tyler to change out of his clothes then coming down stairs and rough-housing, reading book and playing ball until dinner is ready. When Tyler is gone it makes that time SO long because Cade is at my feet fussing demanding my attention while I get our dinner ready.
I tried to fill our evenings with fun things to do which helped a little bit but nothing replaces Cade's 1 on 1 time with his Da Da. Cade and I are both happy to have him back!!
Where was Tyler you ask? He was in Arizona for his last Edward Jones training (for a while). He is now over the BIG hump of kicking off his new business!! I am so proud of Tyler's hard work and dedication to his new job. It has really paid off and we are now seeing the benefits of his career change. He is in the beginning stages of opening his own Edward Jones branch here in Bend. He has hired a Real Estate Broker and they are currently scoping out the different available locations. We are both excited to get his office up and running. I am obviously excited to help him decorate and he is excited to have his own space and no longer be sharing an office with someone else.
We have been truly blessed through this transitional stage in our life! The motto I always hear the other Edward Jones spouses say is "Just stay in the boat" and it is so true. There were several times where Tyler wanted to throw in the towel and call it quits but that little saying came to my mind and I would remind him of it. I am so glad we worked through those hard times and didn't jump ship. I know the hard times aren't over but just like Matthew says "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."!!
Today I am thankful that we don't have to face hardships and trial alone, God is on our side!!
Here are some picts of Cade keeping busy while Daddy was gone:
