Baby steps

Now that Cade is cruzing around EVERYWHERE he doesn't like to be held when we go places. So today I thought I would let the little one loose and allow him to walk from our car into Fred Meyer (on the sidewalk of course)by himself. He thought he was the coolest kid around, strutting down the sidewalk in his new Nike tennis shoes and his adorable new puffy coat from the Gap!! It was so fun to see his independent side come out and also such a challenge for me to slow down and just let him do it. Of course it took about 10 min to get 50 steps and we had to stop and look at all the rocks, bugs and leaves as well as stop and say hi to EVERY person that walked by.

I am so sad that the baby phase is behind us, but after seeing the little boy come out if Cade, I am so excited for this next season in our life.
