Weekend with the Luoto's

So the weekend with The Luoto's has already come and gone. Jenna, Kirk and there baby Landon came to visit the weekend of Feb 8th. It was the weekend of Winterfest so we took advantage of the activities down town. Friday night I made us some yummy taco soup then we got all bundled up to go watch the fire works at Drake Park, however the fireworks never happened! It ended up being too windy so they called it off. So we went and watched the rail jam for a while then the ice carving. After we were all good and cold we made our way back home to hot chocolate, rainbow chip cake and a LONG game of Settlers of Catan.

Saturday we had a very lazy morning catching up, drinking coffee and relaxing. After lunch Jenna and I did some shopping while the guys went and watched the Warren Miller movies at the Tower. That evening we took them to one of our favorite places in Bend Deschutes Brewery. After dinner we walked around Winterfest a little bit more then headed home.

Sunday we all made our way to church then after lunch we had to say good bye. It is always such a blessing to get together with these guys. Even though we live on opposite sides of the Mountain, we can always pick up right where we left off like no time passed. That is true friendship!
